We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a healthcare organization in Toronto, Ontario on a Contract basis. This role is well suited to someone who is highly organized, accurate, and comfortable handling a steady volume of invoice-related work in a fast-paced environment. You will support day-to-day accounts payable activities by reviewing invoice details, assigning proper coding, and ensuring approvals are completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

- Review incoming invoices for accuracy and completeness before routing them through the approval process.
- Apply the correct account coding to invoices and confirm supporting details align with internal records.
- Process approximately 50 to 60 invoices each week while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
- Examine prior transaction history to resolve discrepancies and confirm payment information.
- Enter financial data into the appropriate system promptly and with close attention to detail.
- Assist with cheque run activities and support regular payment processing deadlines.
- Reconcile accounts payable records and help investigate outstanding or mismatched items.
- Contribute to ongoing administrative support related to accounts payable operations and documentation.
- Previous experience in accounts payable, invoice handling, or a similar finance support position.
- Working knowledge of invoice coding, account reconciliation, and payment processing procedures.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.




- Familiarity with ERP or accounting platforms such as Oracle, SAP, or QuickBooks.
- Ability to review historical records and use available information to resolve invoice issues.
- Comfortable working in a part-time schedule structure with mid-week availability.
- Effective organizational and time management skills in a deadline-driven environment.
