CNC Programmer

MC3 Manufacturing Inc. – Leamington, ON – $28–$36/hr, based on experience

The role

We’re a fab shop. We build conveyors and do custom fabrication, so you’ll program conveyor components, machined parts, and weldments.

This is a programming job. You’ll take a SolidWorks part or 3D model and write the program to make it. Sometimes a job won’t come with a model, and you’ll build one first. When needed, you’ll also run the CNC machines as a backup to our operators.

We care most about machining experience. If you’ve made parts on a mill or lathe, you know what a program needs to run right at the machine. That’s the person we want.

What you’ll be doing

Most of your time will be spent programming parts in Lemoine. You’ll also help us set up and streamline how we program. Part of this job is helping build that process.

- Program parts in Lemoine from SolidWorks parts and 3D models
- Build 3D models when a job doesn’t come with one
- Program weldments, plates, and machined parts for conveyors and custom fab work
- Read and work from drawings and specs
- Work with operators to prove out new programs at the machine
- Run our CNC machines as a backup when needed – Mazak Power Mills, CNC Lathes, and Awea CNC Mills and Bridge Mill
- Help set up and streamline our programming process

What you bring

Machining experience comes first. Programming experience matters too, but we’re hiring someone who knows how parts actually get made.

- Hands-on machining experience on CNC mills and/or lathes
- CNC programming experience in Lemoine or comparable CAM software

- Comfortable working in SolidWorks or other 3D modelling software
- Able to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Able to set up and run CNC machines when needed
- Works independently and follows through

Nice to have

- Experience on Mazak or Awea machines, including bridge mills
- Experience programming weldments
- Background in a fab shop or job shop
