At our Vancouver location, we work with children from infancy through the early school years through parent-child classes, Preschool Prep, School Skills, camps, afterschool programs, birthday parties, and community events.

We are looking for energetic, responsible, and curious candidates who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in teaching, leadership, communication, program planning, customer service, and small-business operations.

You do not need a background in Early Childhood Education. Full training is provided.

Why This Role Is Valuable for you

This position is designed to provide practical experience that is transferable to many future careers, including education, psychology, business, healthcare, communications, management, and community services.

You will have opportunities to develop:

- Public speaking and facilitation skills by leading activities and communicating with children and parents.

- Project and lesson-planning experience that is transferable to future academic and professional work.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills through program delivery, events, and daily centre operations.
- Customer service and professional communication skills through interaction with families.
- Exposure to business operations, including marketing, sales, CRM systems, administration, customer retention, and event planning.
- Opportunities to take ownership of projects and contribute ideas that may become part of the centre’s ongoing programs.
- Mentorship, regular feedback, and opportunities for increased responsibility based on performance.

Assist with or lead activities involving STEAM, LEGO, art, movement, collaborative projects, and school-age enrichment.

Lesson Planning & Program Preparation

- Prepare and adapt lesson plans based on Gymboree curriculum.
- Organize materials and classroom setup.

- Educate new and existing families about Gymboree programs, memberships, camps, birthday parties, and special events.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries.
- Make follow-up calls when appropriate.
- Support trial-class families and new enrollments.

This role also provides exposure to the operational side of a small business.

Responsibilities may include:

Training & Professional Development

No previous Gymboree or Early Childhood Education experience is required.

We provide:

- Approximately 2 weeks of hands-on, in-person training.

- Ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Regular team training.
- Monthly check-ins.
- Formal performance reviews approximately every six months.
- Opportunities to take on additional teaching, leadership, administrative, or management responsibilities as you develop.
