Stick People Solutions is recruiting on behalf of our client, Schwab & Co. Chartered Professional Accountants, for a Junior Accountant to join their team.

Position Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who is in the final stages of their CPA designation or has recently become designated and is looking to build a long-term career in public practice.

Working closely with the firm’s partners and experienced team members, the Junior Accountant will contribute to a variety of client files while continuing to develop their technical knowledge and practical public practice experience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of accounting and tax work within a supportive, collaborative small-firm environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare corporate financial statements and related working papers
- Prepare corporate tax returns
- Prepare personal tax returns
- Assist with personal and corporate tax planning
- Assist with succession and estate planning matters
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships




- Work collaboratively with partners and other team members on client files
- Respond to client requests and follow up on information required to complete files
- Maintain accurate and organized client documentation
- Contribute to the continued growth and success of the firm

Qualifications & Experience

- Recently designated as a Chartered Qualified Accountant (CPA), or in the final stages of CPA designation
- Relevant public practice experience preferred
- Foundational knowledge of corporate and personal accounting and taxation
- Strong interpersonal and client service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small-firm environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a career in public practice
