Registered Pharmacy Technician

About the role

We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our busy community pharmacy team. The successful candidate will support safe and efficient prescription processing, provide excellent patient service, and work closely with pharmacists and pharmacy assistants.

Responsibilities

- Process prescriptions accurately, including data entry, adjudication, and preparation
- Support compliance packaging and blister-pack services
- Assist with prescription pickups, drop-offs, and patient questions
- Complete inventory tasks, including receiving and putting away orders
- Help maintain organized work areas and accurate pharmacy records
- Follow privacy, safety, and pharmacy procedures
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists and the pharmacy team during busy periods

Required qualifications

- A Pharmacy Technician degree is required.
- Registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a pharmacy technician,



with a valid practice permit, is required to practise in Alberta.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced pharmacy
- Patient-focused approach and commitment to confidentiality

Preferred qualifications

- Experience in a community pharmacy
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and compliance packaging
- Experience with prescription adjudication and inventory procedures

Schedule

The pharmacy operates seven days a week, between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Availability for wide-ranging shifts, including some evenings and weekends, is required.
