Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Baker to join our Gouter team! In this role, you will be responsible for creating delicious baked goods, ensuring quality and presentation meet our high standards, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies, following established recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with creative designs using cake decorating techniques to enhance visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing doughs, and assembling baked items efficiently
- Ensure proper food handling and safety procedures are followed at all times during baking and packaging processes
- Assist with food industry-specific tasks such as portioning, packaging finished products for sale or delivery, and managing inventory levels
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about baked goods and offering recommendations when needed





Skills

- Proven experience in baking or pastry arts, with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques
- Skilled in cake decorating and creative presentation of baked goods
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen workplace while maintaining high quality standards
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and decorating tools
