- Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills required

- Support work experience, including knowledge of supporting challenging behaviors, will be considered an asset
- Sense of humor will be an asset
- Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector search required
- Adult abuse registry check required
- CPR/emergency first aid certificate or willingness to obtain upon hire required
- NVCI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention)

Responsibilities:

- Supporting the individual in his day to day life, including completing tasks such as grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, and administering medication
- Developing a strong relationship with the individual, getting to know his interests and needs
- Helping the individual participate in the community and connect with others
- Building and leading a team of staff to support the individual

Pay: $19.00 per hour
