WHAT'S A FUNDRAISING SHIFT ACTUALLY LIKE?
You'll work alongside a team at busy public locations across the GTA.
Depending on your campaign and team, you could work in:
- Hospitals
- Busy streets and public spaces
- Other community locations
You spend your shift:
- Meeting new people

- Learning about the nonprofit you're representing
- Sharing stories about key causes

- Working toward team and individual goals
- Getting coaching to improve
You will talk to a lot of people.
Some will be interested.
Some won't.
Some will say no before you've finished your first sentence.
Then you'll move on to the next person.
WHO DOES WELL HERE?
You don't need to be the loudest person in the room.

This could be a excellent fit if you:
- Are naturally social

- Are comfortable meeting new people
- Want to improve your communication skills
- Like working toward goals
- Take feedback well

- Don't want every workday to feel exactly the same
People join our teams from retail, restaurants, hospitality, theatre, education, childcare, customer service, volunteering, sales, advocacy, and many other backgrounds.

Our nonprofit partners work on issues such as:
- Children's health
- Mental health

The campaign you represent may change during your employment.

WHERE YOU'LL WORK
Your interview and initial training take place in person at our downtown Toronto office.
Once trained, you'll work with your fundraising team at different locations throughout Toronto and the GTA.
You do not need to report downtown before every shift.
You will need to reliably get yourself to your assigned fundraising location using public transit, your own vehicle, or another dependable transportation option.
Carpools may sometimes be available, but they aren't guaranteed.
