About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Logistics Coordinator to manage the efficient movement of goods for their FMCG operations in Kimberley . This role is crucial for coordinating transportation, warehousing, and inventory management to ensure timely delivery of products to customers. You will liaise with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize supply chain operations and resolve any logistical challenges. This position offers a significant prospect to contribute to the smooth functioning of a critical business function within the Northern Cape region, ensuring product availability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage daily logistics operations, including inbound and outbound transportation.
- Arrange and schedule shipments with freight carriers, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor shipment progress, track inventory levels, and manage warehouse operations as needed.
- Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers,



and customers to ensure smooth product flow and address logistical issues.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, customs forms, and other relevant paperwork.
- Identify opportunities for logistics process improvements and cost savings.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role within supply chain management.
- Experience in the FMCG industry is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of logistics processes, transportation modes, and warehousing operations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
