About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in industrial machinery to join their remote team, supporting operations in the Kimberley region. This role focuses on the design and development of robust, efficient, and protected industrial equipment. You will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs, performing necessary analyses, and ensuring that the machinery meets performance specifications and industry standards. This position is ideal for a self-driven engineer who excels in a remote work environment and is passionate about creating solutions for industrial challenges. Key Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical systems and components for industrial machinery using CAD software . Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis (e.g., stress, fatigue, thermal) to ensure design integrity and functionality. Create detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly instructions, and Bill of Materials (BOMs). Collaborate with remote colleagues in manufacturing, electrical engineering, and project management to integrate designs.



Support the manufacturing and commissioning phases by troubleshooting design-related issues. Research and implement innovative design solutions to improve machine performance, reliability, and safety. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically with industrial machinery or equipment . Proficiency in 3D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and basic simulation tools. Strong understanding of material properties, stress analysis, and manufacturing processes for heavy equipment. Excellent remote communication skills and the ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively. Benefits
