Machine Operator – Metal Manufacturing

Full-time | Monday–Thursday | 7:00 AM–5:30 PM

Pay: $20–$30/hour, based on experience

Cascade Metals is a family-owned metal manufacturing company located in South Vancouver. We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our production team as a Machine Operator.

This is a hands-on manufacturing position with the prospect to learn specialized metal-processing equipment and become a key member of our production team. Previous extrusion experience is not required — we are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities
Operate and monitor metal manufacturing and extrusion and roll forming equipment
Set up and adjust machinery for production runs
Work with lead, zinc and other metals
Monitor product quality and make adjustments as required
Perform basic troubleshooting and identify equipment issues
Complete routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance
Pack, organize and prepare finished products
Operate a forklift and move materials within the facility
Maintain a clean and protected work area
Follow established production and safety procedures





What We're Looking For
Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with industrial machinery
Reliable and able to work independently
Good attention to detail
Able to learn machine setup and production processes
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Able to perform physical work and lift/move materials as required
Previous machine operation, manufacturing, mechanical or trades experience is an asset
Forklift experience or certification is an asset
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Steel-toed safety boots required

Schedule

Monday to Thursday
7:00 AM–5:30 PM

This is a permanent, full-time position with a four-day workweek and an prospect to develop specialized manufacturing skills within an established Canadian manufacturing company.
