Equipment Maintenance Coordinator - Elkford, BC

Our client, a family-owned crane and heavy-haul company, is looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to oversee equipment maintenance from its Elkford yard. The fleet includes cranes, boom trucks, winch trucks, heavy-haul trailers, and support vehicles, with additional large-capacity cranes arriving in 2027.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can coordinate shop activity while staying involved with repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities
Manage preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
Troubleshoot and repair diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Coordinate parts, outside repairs, vendors, and warranty work.
Track work orders, CVIPs, service schedules, and equipment records.
Respond to equipment breakdowns in the yard and occasionally in the field.
Coordinate maintenance with operations and dispatch.
Help prepare and maintain recent equipment arriving in 2027.




Direct day-to-day shop priorities while continuing to work on equipment.

Requirements
Heavy-duty, crane, truck, or similar equipment maintenance experience.
Robust mechanical, diesel, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.
Comfortable leading a small shop and working hands-on.
Strong organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license; Class 1 license with air brakes is an asset.
Red Seal Heavy Duty/Truck & Transport, Millwright, welding, or CVIP experience is an asset.
