Residential Child & Youth Worker – Full-Time, Part time, Casual

We are hiring compassionate and reliable staff to support youth in a residential care setting. Multiple positions are available, including weekday and weekend shifts.

Salary

$23.00 – $26.00 per hour
(Compensation varies based on qualifications, experience, and shift availability.)

Responsibilities
Provide daily care, supervision, and support to youth in a residential environment
Assist with meal preparation and promote healthy nutrition
Maintain a protected, nurturing, and inclusive living setting
Lead and support recreational, educational, and life-skills activities
Observe, document, and report on youth progress and behaviors
Work collaboratively with team members to implement individualized care plans
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the residence

Skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to respond to challenging behaviors with empathy and professionalism
Strong organizational skills and computer literacy




Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Qualifications

Requirements in bold are mandatory:
Completion of post-secondary education in a related field (Child & Youth Worker, Social Service Worker, Developmental Service Worker, Youth Criminal Justice System studies, or related programs)
First Aid & CPR Certification
Valid G Driver’s License
Vulnerable Sector Clearance
Board Record Check
UMAB Certification

Additional Assets:
Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices
Experience with MCCSS guidelines and the Child, Youth and Family Services Act
Trauma-Informed Care training
