Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic

We are looking for a hardworking and dependable Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team.

This position is open to both entry-level applicants looking to begin a Heavy Duty Mechanic apprenticeship and currently registered apprentices.

Responsibilities
Service, maintain and repair heavy trucks and equipment
Assist with CVIP inspections
Perform preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues
General shop duties and maintenance
Other mechanical work as required

Requirements
Must be physically fit and capable of performing demanding work
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Previous mechanical, automotive, heavy truck or equipment experience is an asset
Valid driver’s licence required
Must have reliable transportation
Local candidates preferred
Must be dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule
Monday to Friday
Some weekend work may be required




Full time position

Compensation

$25.00–$45.00 per hour, depending on experience and apprenticeship level.

This is a good chance for someone looking to start or continue a career in the heavy-duty mechanic trade while gaining hands-on experience servicing and repairing heavy trucks and equipment.
