Job Overview

A growing commercial real estate owner and operator is seeking a hands-on Property Accountant to join its in-house accounting team. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day property accounting and month-end activities for an assigned portfolio, working closely with property management and operations.

We are looking for an accounting professional with property accounting and Yardi experience who can take ownership of assigned responsibilities and develop with the company over the long term.

Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle property accounting, including AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.
Prepare and analyze property financial statements, budgets and forecasts and investigate variances.
Prepare CAM recoveries, maintain tenant ledgers, rental charges, recoveries, security deposits, and related reconciliations.
Process operating and capital expenditures, including amortization and accruals, prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
Support GST filings, year-end audits, financial reporting, and other tax and accounting requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on corporate finance initiatives including cash flows and treasury.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, controls,



and Yardi workflows.

Qualifications
Proven experience with accounting software such as Yardi, QuickBooks, Dayforce is preferred.
Experience in commercial real estate accounting is highly desirable.
Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and budgeting tasks accurately and efficiently.
Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail; ability to handle multiple properties simultaneously.
Knowledge of payroll processing systems and procedures is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $70,000–$85,000 annually, based on qualifications, property accounting experience and Yardi proficiency.
