Location: 2.5 - 3 hours Northeast of Toronto

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of Grade 12 education, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
At least two (2) years of relevant experience in a hospital, long-term care, or similar healthcare setting.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic knowledge and understanding of proper cleaning methods, procedures, and practices.
Must successfully complete the Food Service Worker Program within three (3) years of employment.
Valid Food Handler Certificate is required.
Robust communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other departments, residents, patients, and family members.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference may be given to applicants who have any of the following:




Formal Chef training or a Culinary Management diploma/certificate from an Ontario College or recognized Private Career College; or
A diploma or certificate obtained from another jurisdiction, along with relevant skills and experience considered equivalent by the employer; or
A valid Certificate of Qualification as a Cook or Institutional Cook.

AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate must be versatile and available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, as well as weekends and statutory holidays. Regular and dependable attendance is an essential requirement of the position.
