We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our home care team. Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
Support patients with mobility challenges through safe lifting and transfer techniques
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ mental well-being
Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy setting
Assist with specialized care needs such as dementia care, hospice support,
or caring for individuals with disabilities
Document care activities thoroughly and communicate any changes in client condition to supervising healthcare professionals
Experience
Previous experience working as a caregiver or support worker in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly desirable
Proven experience in patient care, home care services, or senior care environments
Familiarity with medication administration and basic nursing tasks
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is beneficial
Knowledge of dementia care practices and hospice support approaches is preferred
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when assisting clients with mobility challenges
Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude are essential for success in this role
