Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and dependable Snow Shoveler to join our outdoor maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring walkways, and outdoor areas are safely cleared of snow and ice, maintaining accessibility and safety for all visitors and staff. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help keep our premises safe and welcoming during winter months. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained setting while developing practical skills in outdoor maintenance.

Responsibilities
Clear snow and ice from walkways, and outdoor stairs using shovels, snow blowers, or other equipment
Apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice formation and ensure safety
Perform routine inspections of outdoor areas to identify hazards or areas needing additional attention
Maintain and operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as snow blowers safely and effectively
Report any equipment issues or safety hazards promptly to the supervisor for immediate resolution

Skills
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as snow blowers is preferred
Familiarity with landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture,



and irrigation systems is a plus
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in cold weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
Construction experience or background in outdoor maintenance is advantageous
Robust attention to detail with a focus on safety protocols during winter operations
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues efficiently

Pay: $18.50-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 50.0 per week
