Job Summary

All About Care is seeking a mature Female Social Companion for a part time position in Northwest Calgary. The successful candidate will accompany a client swimming twice per week for 3-hour visits and provide a third weekly visit focused on crafts, activities, and social engagement. We are looking for someone compassionate, dependable, and passionate about helping others remain active and connected.

Duties
Engage clients in meaningful conversations, activities, and recreational pursuits to promote mental and emotional well-being
Assist with daily routines such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders
Provide support with mobility and light physical activities, ensuring safety during movement
Help clients maintain independence by encouraging participation in activities suited to their abilities




Observe and report any changes in client condition or behavior to supervising staff
Maintain a clean and secure setting for clients by assisting with light cleaning tasks as appropriate
Offer companionship during outings or social events to promote community engagement

Qualifications
Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings preferred
Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and patience
Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends if needed
Solid commitment to providing respectful and dignified care tailored to each individual’s needs

Pay: $19.00 per hour
