Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our dynamic food service team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling and restaurant operations, with a focus on delivering a positive dining experience for our customers. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cashiering, and food safety within a fast-paced setting.
Duties
Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently while providing friendly service
Handle cash transactions, including processing payments and giving change
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including counters and food prep stations
Restock supplies and ensure all food items are properly stored and labeled
Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, sanitation, and storage of food products
Assist in maintaining overall restaurant cleanliness and organization during shifts
Skills
Experience in food preparation, food service, or cashiering within the food industry or restaurant environment
Proficiency with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient order processing
Robust customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously
Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and upselling products
Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Kitchen experience or restaurant background is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Ability to serve customers with professionalism and enthusiasm while adhering to health regulations
