Machine Operator – Automated Packaging

Job Summary

We are hiring a Machine Operator for a busy bakery production facility. The successful candidate will operate and monitor automated bagging and packaging equipment used to package bakery products efficiently and safely.

This is a hands-on production role suited for someone who is comfortable working around machinery, following production procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor automated bagging and packaging machines.
Set up the machine according to the required product and packaging specifications.
Load packaging materials and ensure products are properly packaged and sealed.
Monitor the machine during production and make basic adjustments when required.
Check finished products for proper weight, packaging, sealing, labeling, and overall quality.
Identify and report machine issues, product defects, or packaging problems.
Perform basic cleaning and housekeeping around the equipment and production area.
Assist with product changeovers and packaging line setup.
Follow food safety, workplace safety, and company procedures at all times.




Maintain consistent production output while meeting quality standards.
Work closely with other production team members to keep the packaging line running smoothly.

Requirements
Previous experience operating packaging, bagging, filling, or production machinery is preferred.
Experience in a bakery, food manufacturing, or production environment is an asset.
Valuable attention to detail and ability to identify packaging or product issues.
Comfortable standing and working on a production line for extended periods.
Ability to work in a quick-paced production setting.
Valuable teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must follow all food safety and workplace safety requirements.
