Jyugoya Japanese Restaurant is looking for an experienced Japanese Kitchen Cook to join our small team. We are seeking someone with previous Japanese kitchen experience who can confidently handle a variety of kitchen duties, from food prep and line cooking to frying, cleaning, and general kitchen operations.

Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and complete daily kitchen prep
Cook and plate Japanese dishes according to restaurant standards
Work the line and manage orders efficiently during service
Handle fryer and other kitchen stations as needed
Maintain food quality, consistency, and proper portioning
Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment as needed
Keep the kitchen, workstations, and equipment clean and organized
Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures




Assist with general kitchen duties as needed

Requirements
Previous experience working in a Japanese kitchen is an asset.
Must speak Mandarin or Cantonese
Able to independently handle multiple kitchen duties and stations
Able to work efficiently in a small, rapid-paced kitchen
Reliable, responsible, and organized
Food safety handling certificate required
