Duties
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up dental tools for procedures
Assist dentists during examinations, restorations, orthodontic treatments, and other dental procedures
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology when necessary
Manage patient records efficiently using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures
Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and greeting patients as a dental receptionist
Support pediatric patients with gentle care and reassurance during visits,



especially in orthodontic or routine check-ups

Skills
Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Dentrix and Epic for scheduling, records management, and billing
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and orthodontics to accurately document procedures
Experience assisting with orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry to cater to diverse patient needs
Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques, sterilization protocols, and infection control standards
Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, providing explicit instructions and compassionate support
Familiarity with CAD technology for digital impressions or restorations is a plus
Excellent organizational skills to coordinate appointments, manage patient flow, and maintain a clean clinical workplace
