Towngate Family Health Organization is a friendly group of six family physicians. We are looking for a full-time nurse for our clinic (RPN designation)

The nurse is responsible for:
scheduling and administering vaccinations and other injections;
assisting with in-person appointments (e.g. vitals/measurements/pap tests/cognitive screening);
maintaining disinfection protocols;
overseeing vaccine orders and managing vaccine stock);
communicating with patients on behalf of the physicians (e.g., providing information/medical advice/results as delegated by the physicians).

We are looking for a team player with a solid work ethic and interest in ongoing learning, who can communicate with patients in a supportive, compassionate, and enthusiastic manner.

Qualifications

Essential
Successful completion of nursing educational program
Active licensure with the College of Nurses of Ontario
EMR experience and excellent computer skills




Ability to triage patient requests/phone calls and answer phones courteously and with professionalism
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion
Solid organizational, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
Must be pleasant, professional, organized, flexible and able to multi-task in a quick-paced, agile work workplace

Desirable
Work experience in outpatient medical setting
Experience with a medical scheduling system and use of PSS EMR
Bilingual

Salary: Hourly rate based on experience and job responsibility. $28 per hour to start

8 am - 4 pm Monday - Thursday; 8 am - 12 pm on Friday
