Carey is seeking an experienced Controller to ensure the accuracy of all financial operations across its College, Student Residences, and Carey Centre. This hands-on position demands solid skills in accounting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. You’ll collaborate closely with various stakeholders to enhance financial processes and support digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own full-cycle accounting operations across all business units
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closes
• Lead the annual financial audit process and charity filings




• Support financial systems modernization and automation efforts
• Maintain compliance with statutory remittances and charity requirements
Requirements:
• CPA designation or near completion preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Solid knowledge of Canadian payroll and tax regulations
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar systems
• Proven ability in quick-paced startup environments
