A dealership is seeking experienced Truck and Transport Technicians – Journeyman & Apprentice level to join a well-equipped shop in Grand Prairie, Alberta. The facility specializes in engine diagnostics, major repair, transmission work, and CVIP inspections.

Requirements:

Must-haves:
• Red Seal Journeyman certification (Journeyman position) or actively enrolled apprenticeship (Apprentice position)
• Valid driver's license
• Own hand tools
• Willingness to learn and positive attitude
• Ability to work on biweekly rotating shifts including occasional Saturdays

Nice-to-haves:
• Diagnostic and major repair capabilities
• CVIP or Class 3 inspection certification
• Cummins or Detroit Diesel engine experience
• Allison transmission familiarity

Compensation & Advantages:

• Journeyman: $30 - $65/hour - $54/hour Journeyman base +$0.75/hour for CVEP +$0.75/hour for CDL tier-based increases/incentivized training available
• Field service premium: +$5/hour (if applicable)
• Overtime paid after 40 hours weekly

Hours:

• Two shifts: Day shift 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Afternoon shift 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM
• Biweekly rotation between shifts (2 weeks day, 2 weeks afternoon)
• Overtime available Saturday rotations (apprentices ~1/month, journeymen 1/month)
• No shift differential currently
• Saturday work is overtime compensation
• Work performed in-shop
