Suncor is seeking Mining Heavy Duty Technicians to join their team at the Fort Hills mining site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This role involves maintaining and repairing some of the industry's largest mining equipment in a camp-based environment. What You'll Need





- Two years of post-apprenticeship experience maintaining mining heavy equipment
- Experience with Caterpillar (CAT) auxiliary equipment, Komatsu haul trucks, Hitachi shovels, and P&H; 4100 shovels
- Valid Alberta Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (Off Road) Certificate or Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Technician (Off Road) Certificate
- Superior mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with computers for equipment maintenance data
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, use ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces
- Ability to work 7/7 rotation with 12-hour shifts
- Position is safety sensitive
