The Vancouver Independent School for Science and Technology seeks a compassionate Counsellor for its unique STEM-focused setting. This part-time role operates approximately three days a week over 14 months, covering the maternity leave of the current Counsellor. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in counselling or psychology and a commitment to fostering student connections.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct 1:1 counselling sessions with students
• Communicate with parents about student well-being




• Collaborate with school staff on student support
• Perform general administrative tasks
• Foster a positive, supportive environment for students
Requirements:
• Post-secondary training in counselling or psychology
• Experience as a school counsellor preferred
• Ability to connect and engage with students
• Team-oriented with effective communication skills
• Open to feedback and innovative educational practices
