Weare recruiting for our client, the Department of National Defence, forProgrammer Analysts to work on software applications to support the operationsof the Department.

Overview/Requirement

Followingis an overview of deliverables:

- select and incorporateavailable software programs;
- design detailed programs, flowcharts, and diagrams indicating mathematical computation and
- sequence of machine operationsnecessary to copy and process data and print the results;
- translate detailed flow chartsinto coded machine instructions and confer with technical personnel in planningprograms;
- verify accuracy andcompleteness of programs by preparing sample data, and testing them by means ofsystem acceptance test runs made by operating personnel;
- correct program errors byrevising instructions or altering the sequence of operations;
- test instructions, and assemblespecifications, flow charts, diagrams, layouts, programming and operatinginstructions to document applications for later modification or reference;
- create and modify code andsoftware;
- create and modify screens andreports;
- design methods and proceduresfor small computer systems,



and sub-system of larger systems;
- produce forms, manuals,programs, data files, and procedures for systems and/or applications; and
- perform any other Work relatedto this category.

Technical Criteria

- Demonstrated experience oreducation with one of the following languages: ADA, Java, C#, C++

Education

- Musthave: University degree or College Diploma in Computer Science,Engineering, Software Development or similar discipline

Lived Experience

- Indigenous lived experience isan integral part of this position. The role will have a close relationshipwith the Indigenous Community in Canada and for Government of Canada positionsthat are part of the PSIB-Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business orIPP-Indigenous Participation Plans. Candidates will be required to haveIndigenous lived experience from Canada’s Indigenous community to perform therole.
