Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Python/SQL Developer to support Oracle-to-Snowflake migration initiatives using Python, SQL, Oracle, and Snowflake Join a highly technical initiative supporting Risk technology teams through the migration of legacy Oracle-based systems to Snowflake.

The role focuses on database engineering activities across a large Capital Markets application and smaller Python-based Total Fund Risk applications, including updating Python and C# integrations, rewriting stored procedures, and supporting Power BI connectivity.

This contract position supports multiple Risk teams in a hybrid setting with a targeted mid-September start.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid (4 days onsite), Working Hours: EST Contract Term: 12m with Initial contract to end of December (renewal into once budgets are approved in November)



Must Haves Experience in SQL and database engineering experience Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and Snowflake Containers: Kubernetes, Docker 5–7 years of Python development Working knowledge of C# and object-oriented programming concepts Nice to Have Oracle-to-Snowflake migration experience preferred Exposure to Power BI integrations Azure exposure Financial services experience Investment management experience Responsibilities Support migration from Oracle databases to Snowflake Update existing Python and C# applications to connect to Snowflake Analyze and rewrite Oracle stored procedures where required Support data migration activities as scope is defined Repoint Power BI connections from Oracle to Snowflake Work with multiple Risk technology teams Produce basic documentation related to requirements and technical work
