RESPONSIBILITIES Operate the bus in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life; Follow all relevant legislation, policies and procedures; Perform safety and maintenance checks of the bus pre-trip and post-trip; Advise the Transportation Coordinator of any requirements for maintenance or repairs; Pick up and deliver students as per a set schedule; Ensure students are aware of rules and responsibilities as passengers; Make note of any behavioural or disciplinary issues; Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS ·Meet the minimum age requirements to hold a school bus driver’s license in the province of Ontario; ·Hold a class B license; ·Must hold a valid (non-probationary) driver’s license for Ontario; ·Possess a very valuable driving record; ·Must undergo pre-employment drug testing with satisfactory results and comply with our random drug check policy for student safety; ·Must be safety-minded, courteous and able to demonstrate an appreciation of the importance of customer service; ·Must enjoy driving and working with children.
