Lyten is seeking an experienced Patent & IP Counsel to spearhead its IP efforts. You will manage patent filings, perform freedom-to-operate analyses, and ensure alignment with market strategies in energy and materials innovation. The role blends strategic leadership with practical patent prosecution duties, creating a significant impact in various sectors, including batteries and sensors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Drive the overall patent strategy and filing prioritization
• Lead patent claim and FTO strategy development
• Review invention disclosures and collaborate with inventors




• Manage the annual patent budget and outside counsel
• Oversee IP diligence in acquisitions and asset purchases

Requirements:
• J.D. and active state law license; USPTO registration required
• 7+ years of IP experience with direct drafting
• Bachelor's in relevant science/engineering discipline
• Strong drafting skills for licensing and confidentiality agreements
• Proven experience in M&A; or asset purchase IP diligence
