You will have the privilege of working within affirm's Data and Storage Services team, managing OLTP and OLAP systems. As a Software Engineer II, you'll build and scale essential cache infrastructure, enhancing self-service capabilities for vital data storage needs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will ensure timely project delivery and thoughtful technical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
• Build and scale Cache Services on Redis and Valkey
• Automate self-service workflows for cache requests
• Define SLOs and monitor production fleet performance




• Partner on caching strategy with client teams
• Support product lifecycle through collaboration and documentation

Requirements:
• 2+ years in software engineering
• Proficiency in Python or Kotlin
• Experience with distributed systems like AWS and MySQL
• Knowledge of Cache technologies such as Redis
• Familiarity with Terraform and Kubernetes
