This full time role plays a pivotal part in FortisBC's legal department. You will ensure compliance with privacy legislation and oversee privacy programs relating to data governance and cybersecurity. Provide legal advice, lead compliance initiatives, and work closely with business units to integrate privacy controls.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead FortisBC’s privacy management program
• Oversee privacy incident response and investigations
• Collaborate with teams on compliance controls
• Provide strategic oversight to the Privacy Advisor role
• Draft and negotiate information systems agreements

Requirements:
• Law degree with minimum eight years’ experience
• Over three years in privacy or compliance roles
• Certified Information Privacy Professional eligibility
• Understanding of cybersecurity and data governance
• Membership with the Law Society of B.C.
