We are seeking a compassionate tutor for one-on-one sessions with a Grade 1 student diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Applicants should hold Orton-Gillingham training and demonstrate a strong understanding of structured literacy instruction. The focus will be on fostering confidence and academic success through engaging, tailored instruction in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess current literacy skills and create customized learning plans
• Utilize Orton-Gillingham methods for reading and spelling instruction




• Support phonological awareness and reading comprehension growth
• Monitor progress and adapt lessons accordingly
• Provide ongoing feedback to parents about student development

Requirements:
• Orton-Gillingham certification or equivalent training
• Experience with students having dyslexia or learning differences
• Solid communication skills for parent updates
• Ability to travel to South Surrey for sessions
• Patient, positive engagement with students
