Position Overview Under the direction of the Manager of Support Services, the cook/baker ensures the dietary needs of patients, employees, and customers are met on a daily basis.
Experience Previous experience working in a hospital setting.
Previous experience in a dietary/food service setting.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Grade 12 education or equivalent.
Successful completion of a recognized food preparation program.
Certification/Licensure/Registration Food Handler’s Certificate.
Qualifications and Skills Knowledge of therapeutic diets.
Knowledge and/or certification in WHMIS.
Physical Requirements Bending and lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
Use of sharp tools such as knives and industrial equipment.
Long periods of time standing during each shift.
Exposure to different chemicals.
