The PrEP Clinic / Ontario Prevention Clinic +pharmacy

Ontario

The PrEP Clinic / The Ontario Prevention Clinic +pharmacy is currently seeking a candidate for the Full-Time position of Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT).
The PrEP Clinic is a province-wide leader in online HIV prevention and sexual health services operating since 2019. In addition to online care, we offer in-person sexual health clinics and pharmacy services. This position will be on-site at our 180 Bloor Street West, Toronto location. We are an intercollaborative team of Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians/Assistants, and Social Workers - and currently expanding our team of 50+ team members.
We are looking for a highly motivated, outgoing, and detail-oriented applicant to join our dynamic team. Individuals with at least 1 full continuous year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician are welcome to apply. (This includes people with international experience). Individuals without healthcare experience will not be considered for the role.
This role will leverage the expanded scope of practice authorized for pharmacy technicians in Ontario to deliver queer-competent care for HIV prevention and treatment in Toronto and across Ontario. We are more of an office-based setting and are not a standard community pharmacy practice. (ie. 8th floor of an office building with mostly one-on-one interactions with patients). The applicant will receive training related to the clinic side, however solid foundations in pharmacy practice and patient relation skills are essential.
You will have an opportunity to drive meaningful change for the people we care for and be a respected health team member. The role requires the ability to take on leadership and work independently at times.
