The CVRD is hiring from within its CUPE Local 556 for a six-month full-time term. This position under the Manager of Long Range Planning & Sustainability entails managing projects that align with board priorities and strategic initiatives. You will facilitate community engagements and conduct research to support diverse planning aspects, contributing positively to regional growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate policy amendment projects of complexity
• Develop strategic planning policies and project management




• Research and implement climate change initiatives
• Conduct in-depth technical studies on regional matters
• Facilitate partnerships for funding and project support

Requirements:
• Degree in planning or environmental studies
• 4-5 years of related experience in long range planning
• Familiar with local government legislation
• Valid BC Class 5 driver's license
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
