We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our energetic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, supporting construction, manufacturing, and agricultural projects.

Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy-duty machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues efficiently.
- Conduct welding, assembly, and disassembly of components using hand tools and power tools to facilitate repairs or upgrades.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during testing procedures and assist in heavy lifting tasks as needed.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to diagnose complex issues involving Caterpillar or other industrial equipment brands.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering technical advice when necessary.





Experience

- Proven dealership experience or extensive background working with heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in automotive repair or industrial equipment maintenance.
- Skilled in reading schematics, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings for troubleshooting purposes.
- Experience with welding techniques and the use of hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems related to industrial equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
