We are seeking a motivated and skilled 3rd to 5th Year Electrical Apprentice holding a valid 309A Electrical Apprenticeship Certification. This paid apprenticeship offers an exciting chance to develop your expertise in electrical systems within a dynamic construction environment. You will work closely with licensed electricians to gain hands-on experience, enhance your technical skills, and contribute to diverse electrical projects.
Duties
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems according to project specifications and safety standards
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support accurate wiring and system layout
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete electrical tasks with precision
- Support the setup and installation of industrial and commercial electrical components on construction sites.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical work to ensure compliance with codes and safety standards
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety checks throughout each project phase
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or completed 3rd to 5th year of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program (309A certification required)
- Proven commercial electrical experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, blueprint reading, and low voltage wiring
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and blueprint interpretation
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
- Must have a valid drivers license, insurance and vehicle as job/site locations are through-out the GTA. Driving distance should not be a concern.
- Must be able to speak and write fluent English.
