Description: Accounting Analyst

Goodfood is looking for an energetic individual that, as a key member of the finance team, will be responsible for completing daily transactional and month-end accounting activities as well as assisting in the payroll process. This role reports to the Director of Accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversee the verification, processing and entry of supplier invoices;

- Prepare EFT, cheque and other disbursements;

- Prepare month-end journal entries, bank reconciliations, reconcile general ledger accounts and complete working papers;

- Process regular and off-cycle payroll and assist in other payroll-related tasks;

- Assist in the development of internal processes;

- Prepare sales tax remittances;

- Participate in the year-end financial statements audit and payroll process;





- Produce a variety of ad-hoc reports and analyses.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Passion for food;

- Strong ability to work in a constantly changing environment;

- Comfort in working in both supervised and unsupervised environments;

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;

- 1 - 3 years experience in a similar role;

- Proficiency in both english and french (oral and written);

- Proficient with Microsoft office, Google docs, advanced Excel;

- Solid belief in conducting business ethically;

- Experience in payroll is an asset;

- Experience in financial reporting is an asset;

- Experience with cloud-based accounting software and ERP systems is an asset.
