Opal Palace is seeking an experienced and personable Arabian Barista & Beverage Specialist to join our hospitality team.

We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of Arabic and Middle Eastern beverages, specialty coffee, milkshakes and non-alcoholic drinks who can deliver both quality preparation and warm guest service.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating beverages, working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and providing guests with a polished and welcoming experience.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve a variety of Arabic and Middle Eastern hot and cold beverages
- Prepare traditional coffee and tea beverages, including Arabic coffee and Turkish-style coffee where applicable
- Prepare specialty coffees, iced beverages and signature drinks
- Create milkshakes, fresh juices and blended beverages
- Prepare and present mocktails and non-alcoholic specialty drinks
- Follow standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Maintain consistency in taste, portioning and presentation
- Assist with the development of new beverage ideas and seasonal drinks
- Maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked beverage station
- Monitor beverage ingredients and assist with inventory control
- Follow food safety, sanitation and workplace standards
- Provide friendly, professional and attentive guest service
- Assist servers and the front-of-house team during busy periods
- Explain beverage options and make recommendations to guests when required
- Ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently

Qualifications
- Previous barista, café, restaurant or beverage preparation experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Arabic,



Middle Eastern and Mediterranean-style beverages
- Experience preparing coffees, teas, milkshakes, mocktails and specialty drinks
- Good understanding of beverage presentation and consistency
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, professional and well organized
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and special events as required

Previous serving or front-of-house restaurant experience is considered a strong asset. What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who combines beverage knowledge with hospitality.

We are looking for a team member who understands the traditions and flavours behind Arabic beverages while also being comfortable creating modern mocktails, milkshakes and specialty drinks that suit the Opal Palace experience.

Personality and guest interaction are important. Candidates with previous serving experience who are confident speaking with guests and working as part of a restaurant team will be particularly well suited to this position.

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time opportunities available

Compensation: Competitive and based on experience
