Cranbrook Co-op Gas Bar is looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on Assistant Manager to help lead our busy gas bar and convenience store. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready to grow their leadership career while making a real impact on our team, our members, and our community.

As Assistant Manager, you'll be more than a supervisor. You'll be a coach, problem-solver, and role model who helps create a workplace where employees thrive and customers love to shop.

What You'll Do

Working alongside the Manager, you will:

- Support the daily operation of our Gas Bar and Convenience Store
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members
- Deliver exceptional customer service and foster positive customer relationships
- Assist with scheduling, training, and employee performance
- Ensure store standards for cleanliness, merchandising, and presentation are consistently maintained
- Monitor inventory levels and support ordering and receiving activities
- Oversee cash handling, balancing, and daily financial procedures
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork
- Support operational goals and contribute to the continued success of the location

What You Bring We're looking for someone who:

- Has retail, convenience store, or gas bar experience
- Has previous leadership or supervisory experience (preferred)




- Leads by example with a positive, professional attitude
- Is passionate about customer service
- Communicates effectively and builds strong relationships
- Is organized, dependable, and self-motivated
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Is comfortable using POS systems and basic computer applications
- Can work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
