Position Summary The Assistant Store Manager will oversee daily operations in Lina’s Italian Market, including customer service, training and development of all associates, labour management, cash and inventory control, assets protection, store conditions, and performance management alongside the Store Manager. As an Assistant Manager, you are expected to exemplify excellent customer service skills, including both retention and development; be an effective communicator; be organized and efficient and exemplify excellent planning and coordination skills. Core accountabilities and responsibilities of this position as previously communicated and discussed.

Main duties

- Accountable for implementation and maintenance of department sanitation checklist, reporting weekly atteam meetings on team’s successes and opportunities

- Accountable for the coolers and storage areas of the market. They should be clean, organized and labeled at
- all times.

- Supervise, direct, and manage all aspects of store operations with the goal of achieving maximum salesand exceptional customer service

- Manage and schedule staff shifts, schedule vacation days and handle schedule changes

- Assisting in hiring and training new team members





- Create a coaching and development culture for all store employees, with direct accountability for designated
- departments, which embraces a passion for food

- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, increase profitability, reduce waste and spoilage, and continuously improve customer service throughout the store

- Role model, coach, and reinforce customer service expectations daily for all staff

- Ensure efficient operation of the business to achieve all financial targets and deliver on budgeted KPIs, withdirect accountability for designated departments

- Participate with the store manager on plans to deliver budgeted KPI’s for other areas of the storeCover letter is required

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
