About Essence

Essence Properties (Essence Living) is a Langley-based developer of multi-family residential condominium communities in the Township of Langley. We are a hands-on team that builds homes we are proud to hand over, and we care how every unit looks and works on move-in day.

The Role

As an Assistant Site Supervisor, you will be paired with one of our Site Supervisors, who each run two buildings from start to finish, and be their right hand on site. With our buildings now in the finishing stage and schedules overlapping, you will help keep the schedule moving, make sure trades show up and do the work as planned, track progress, and drive quality and deficiencies through to PDIs and handover to our Home Care team.

What You Will Do

- Help your Site Supervisor prepare and update 2–3 week look-ahead schedules from the master schedule
- Confirm trades before their scheduled start: crews, materials, and access ready to go
- Walk the buildings daily to make sure scheduled trades are on site, working in the right areas, and keeping pace
- Track progress by building, floor, and unit, and flag slippage early with recovery options
- Coordinate trade sequencing and hand-offs so the next trade can start on time
- Keep the daily site log and schedule inspections and re-inspections as directed
- Run quality and deficiency walkthroughs at key milestones, build deficiency lists by unit and trade, and follow up until items are closed to our standard
- Prepare units for inspections and PDIs, support homeowner orientations, and help hand units to our Home Care team
- Direct labourers on site support, protection, and clean-up




- Champion safety on site and follow WorkSafeBC and Essence safety practices
- Step in as site lead when your Site Supervisor is away

What You Bring

- 2+ years in residential construction as an assistant site supervisor, site coordinator, foreman, or in quality control
- Multi-family wood-frame experience (preferred)
- A working understanding of construction scheduling: look-aheads, sequencing, and milestones
- Ability to read drawings, finish schedules, and specifications
- Confidence directing trades and holding them to schedule and quality while keeping relationships positive
- A sharp eye for detail and a clear sense of what a quality residential finish looks like
- Strong organization; able to track many trades and units across more than one building
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Comfort with Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and mobile construction or deficiency apps
- Valid driver's licence, reliable transportation, and your own CSA-approved PPE

Nice to Have

- Hands-on trade experience (framing, drywall, finish carpentry, painting, flooring, tile)
- Experience with PDIs, homeowner orientations, or current-home warranty work
- Post-secondary training in construction management, building technology, or a trade
