Automotive Accounting Clerk

Full-Time | Automotive Dealership | Guelph, ON

We are looking for an Automotive Accounting Clerk to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a willingness to learn the automotive accounting process.

About the Role

As an Automotive Accounting Clerk, you will support the dealership's accounting and administrative operations, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time. You will work closely with the accounting team, sales department, service department, and management.

Key Responsibilities could include

- Process and post daily accounting transactions
- Reconcile accounts
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and process vehicle deal documentation
- Verify invoices, receipts, payments, and supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end accounting procedures
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems
- Process deposits and other daily cash transactions
- Assist with vehicle inventory and related accounting entries
- Reception coverage
- Review transactions for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate with internal departments, customers,



and vendors as required
- Provide general administrative and accounting support to the Controller and accounting team
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned

What We're Looking For
- Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience is an asset
- Automotive dealership experience is an asset but not required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable working with numbers and financial information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a busy environment
- Professional, positive, and dependable attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
