Position Summary

As a key member of the Carhive operations team, the Automotive Detailer / Lot Attendant plays an important role in maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient vehicle lot. This position is also responsible for vehicle detailing and preparation, ensuring vehicles are clean, presentable, and ready for customers. The role involves regularly cleaning and detailing vehicles, moving and organizing vehicles, supporting vehicle deliveries and service appointments, and ensuring inventory is clean, accessible, and ready for customers.

The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive environment. Strong attention to detail, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Detailing & Preparation

- Thoroughly clean and detail vehicles to ensure they are ready for sale and customer delivery.
- Perform interior and exterior vehicle cleaning, including vacuuming, wiping surfaces, cleaning windows, washing vehicles, and cleaning wheels and tires.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation for all vehicles on the lot.
- Prepare vehicles for customer delivery by ensuring they are clean, presentable, and properly staged.
- Identify areas of a vehicle that require additional cleaning or attention and ensure they are addressed.
- Assist with basic vehicle reconditioning and preparation as required.
- Maintain and organize detailing supplies, equipment, and work areas.




- Ensure detailing tasks are completed efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Assist with washing, fueling, and preparing vehicles for customer delivery.
- Support the service and reconditioning teams with vehicle preparation as required.

Lot & Vehicle Operations

- Move and organize vehicles throughout the dealership lot.
- Ensure vehicles are parked safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable lot.
- Assist with vehicle pickups, deliveries, and transportation to service appointments.
- Coordinate and organize vehicle keys.
- Assist with receiving and organizing newly arrived inventory.
- Ensure vehicles are properly positioned for sales, service, and delivery.
- Follow all dealership safety procedures and vehicle handling guidelines.
- Communicate vehicle status and lot requirements to sales, service, and management teams.
- Support overall dealership operations as required.

Qualifications

- Previous automotive or dealership experience preferred.
- Previous vehicle detailing, car wash, reconditioning, or automotive cleaning experience is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Clean driving record required.
- Ability to drive standard transmission (manual) vehicles is considered an asset.
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality of work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable performing hands-on vehicle detailing and cleaning duties on a regular basis.

Pay: $50,000.00 per hour
