Argyle Coffee is a new counter-service café opening in Ladner, built around quality, creativity and a strong sense of community. Our menu focuses on breakfast and features a mix of in-house made food, fresh juices, smoothies and baked goods sourced through local partnerships. We’re committed to exceptional coffee, offering a high-end espresso and brew program through a local roasting partner . We are currently hiring for full-time and part-time baristas (day shifts only).

Role Overview

As a Barista at Argyle Coffee, you’ll be the face of our cafe and a key part of creating a warm, welcoming experience for every guest. This role includes hands-on beverage preparation, customer service and teamwork in a fast-paced workplace. Previous experience as a barista is an asset, but we’re happy to train the right person who brings enthusiasm, reliability, and a passion for hospitality.

Job Duties

- Prepare high-quality espresso beverages, brewed coffee, teas and specialty drinks with consistency and care
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers and other café equipment safety and efficiently
- Provide warm, attentive, customer-focused service to every guest
- Greet customers, take orders, answer questions and offer recommendations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including regular cleaning of equipment, seating areas and workspaces
- Manage POS transactions accurately, including cash handling,



card payments and tips
- Restock supplies, rotate inventory, and support daily opening and closing routines
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to leadership team
- Work collaboratively with team members and maintain smooth, safe operations
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, community-driven atmosphere where guest feel welcome and valued.

- Previous barista or café experience is an asset
