About Biktrix
Biktrix is a Canadian e-bike company, headquartered in Saskatoon, with showrooms across Western Canada. We design, assemble and customize e-bikes for riders who want something built right. We’re looking for a mechanic to join our Edmonton store.
Is this you?
You like figuring out why something doesn’t work. You’ve fixed bikes, dirt bikes, cars, small engines or electronics, and you’d rather troubleshoot a problem than walk away from it. You don’t need years of e-bike experience. If you know your way around a bike and aren’t afraid of a wiring harness, we’ll teach you the rest.
You’re also comfortable talking with customers, whether that’s explaining a repair, helping someone pick the right bike, or taking them out for a test ride.
What you’ll do
- Assemble and tune current e-bikes, from setup and adjustments to final test ride
- Service and repair regular bike systems: brakes (including hydraulic), drivetrains, wheels, suspension, headsets and bottom brackets
- Troubleshoot e-bike issues like motors, batteries, controllers, displays and wiring, with support and training from our team
- Do custom builds and upgrades for customers
- Run quality checks before bikes go out the door
- Help customers on the showroom floor: answer questions, match them to the right bike, run test rides and close sales
- Explain repairs and service options to customers in plain language
- Process sales, service bookings and pickups
- Keep the shop organized and record the work you do
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on mechanical experience, whether from a bike shop, motorcycles, automotive, small engines, or your own garage projects
- Solid bike basics, or the mechanical aptitude to learn them quickly
- Comfort with basic electrical troubleshooting (using a multimeter, checking connections), or a willingness to learn
- Friendly and confident with customers. Retail or sales experience is a plus, but genuine enthusiasm for bikes matters more.
- Patience to work through a problem methodically
- Reliable, and takes pride in doing the job right
Bonus points (not required)
- E-bike experience (Bafang, Shimano, Bosch, etc.)
- Wheel building
- Bike mechanic training (Park Tool, UBI, BBI) or a trade background
- Photos of your projects
What we offer
- $20–$27/hour based on experience
- Full-time, permanent, year-round, 40 hours per week
- Paid training on e-bike systems
- Health, dental and vision coverage, plus paid time off
- Employee bike program and store discounts
- Tuition reimbursement
- Room to grow into senior tech or build lead roles as we expand
Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
Benefits
- Casual dress
- Company events
- Dental care
- Extended health care
- On-site parking
- Paid time off
- Store discount
- Tuition reimbursement
- Vision care
