Our client, a growing manufacturing company located on the east end of Ottawa, is seeking a bilingual Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This individual will be responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing freight costs, supporting cross-border transportation, and ensuring products are delivered efficiently and cost effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate domestic and international shipments, with a strong focus on Canada-U.S. freight.

- Obtain freight quotations and negotiate competitive transportation rates with carriers.

- Select the most cost-effective shipping methods while maintaining service requirements.

- Manage carrier relationships and resolve transportation issues.

- Prepare and review shipping, customs, and import/export documentation.

- Monitor tariffs, duties, and regulatory requirements related to cross-border shipments.

- Track shipments and provide updates to internal stakeholders and customers.

- Investigate freight discrepancies and resolve invoicing issues.





- Maintain accurate logistics records and reporting.

- Work closely with production, customer service, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.

- Experience coordinating domestic and cross-border shipments.

- Knowledge of freight management, carrier selection, customs, tariffs, and import/export processes.

- Strong negotiation skills and ability to obtain competitive freight pricing.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

- Bilingual in English and French (written and verbal).

- Experience working with U.S. transportation and customs processes.

- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing workplace.
